for RealSAM SIM Trial

We work with our distributors and channel partners to provide new users with an opportunity to try the RealSAM Pocket without the hassle and cost of acquiring a phone plan and dealing with providers. It’s our goal that within this trial period, new users will gain the training and confidence to use their new voice-operated smartphone.

Users who get our accessible phone through a blind and visually impaired (BVI) organization, state program, or the VA may receive a 3-month (90-day) RealSAM Verizon or Ultra Mobile trial SIM card. Both types of SIM cards include unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and 5GB of data per month.

New users who get a trial SIM card must register their RealSAM Pocket and activate their trial SIM card. After activating the trial SIM card, users will have a phone number, be able to make calls, text, and stream content on their RealSAM Pocket.

Towards the end of this trial, it is up to the user to decide if they would like to continue with their Verizon or Ultra Mobile plan, go back to their previous provider, or choose a new provider.

If you’re activating during business hours, your activation will be completed within 30 minutes of submitting the required information in the Activation page.

If you’re activating outside business hours, your request will be processed during the next business day.

***Business hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST and Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST.***

Once you have entered your information on the Activation page and click on “Activate”, wait for a few minutes then power your phone on. You may receive a text message, email, or a notification on your RealSAM Pocket letting you know that your SIM is active.

If you miss the notification, try making a call after 30 minutes. Or after 30 minutes, press the “tap to talk” button on the RealSAM Pocket and say, “Device Info”. You will hear RealSAM say your User ID, IMEI, and other information. Towards the end you will hear something like, “Phone service connected to Verizon,” or “Phone service connected to Ultra.”

You can continue to use that phone number on another phone while you decide how you want to proceed with your RealSAM Verizon or Ultra Mobile trial.

Most providers will allow you to put your plan on hold (suspend it for 90 days). You can reach out to your current provider for more details.

You can also choose to cancel your plan. We leave the choice and responsibility to the users.

Here are some options to consider towards the end of your RealSAM SIM Trial.

If you are happy with Verizon or Ultra Mobile (whichever trial you have), you can continue using them by calling them directly and providing your contact and payment information.

Contact Verizon at (800)837-4966

Contact Ultra Mobile at (888) 777 - 0446

If you’d prefer to continue with your previous service provider (the one you had prior to using RealSAM and getting the trial SIM), contact that provider and follow their instructions. You will need to get a new SIM card from them to use on your RealSAM Pocket.

If you want to try a new provider, that is not a problem–RealSAM Pocket is compatible with most service providers in the US.

***If you’re switching to a different service provider and would like to keep your phone number from the RealSAM trial, contact Verizon or Ultra Mobile customer support. They will guide through the necessary steps.***
